One of our larger customers has had their checks counterfeited. There are multiple checks (15) that were presented ranging from $396.92 to $399.99. None of these checks have a signature on them, the payee is just a couple of squiggle lines and there is no written amount on the check. We assume they were probably mobile deposit checks but the endorsement does not indicate that.

Who is liable for these checks that have no signature? Would the bank of deposit have liability for taking a check that has no signature and is not complete?
