My commercial underwriter ask a question and I am looking for some guidance as to what other banks are accepting. We have in the past made loans to US entities that were owned by non US citizens. We are seeing more of these requests. The question asked is what types of Visas do you accept if the entity is a US entity but the guarantors are Non US Citizens with Visas and #2 what Visas do you accept if the commercial loan request individual borrowers that are Non US Citizens who hold Visas?

What types of Visa’s does your institution accept and what types of Visas do you stay away from (not accept) when considering commercial loan requests?

Why would a non-US Citizen need any sort of visa to own all or a part of a business in the US?
