Are we required to execute an Electronic Signature Consent/Authorization form in order for our documents, including the signature card, disclosures, etc. to be validly executed when collecting signatures via a signature pad? This question has arisen due to having recently changed document vendors. Our old vendor did not generate an Electronic Signature Consent/Authorization Form with new accounts, while our new vendor does. While I believe it is conservative to obtain it, we do not want to generate any unnecessary paperwork. We have been opening accounts using a signature pad for a couple of years now, but have not obtained this document before. Any input would be appreciated.
