I am conducting an ATM assessment at all of our branch locations and found one ATM does not have any Braille indicators on it. Reading through the 2010 ADA Standards for Assessible Design I found that Braille is only required in section 707.8 Braille Instructions-Braille instructions for initiating the speech mode shall be provided. Braille shall comply with 703.3. The rest of our ATMs have Braille all over them - cash dispenser, card reader, receipt printer... Did I miss something in the reading that states all of the functions have to be indicated with Braille?
