If we disclose that we typically post Electronic Deposits on the day of settlement and that funds become available the same day, if we should not be able to post it/make it available until the next business day after settlement (say it rejected and needed additional review), is a Case-by-Case delayed availability notice required?

Do you not back date the deposit when whatever caused the delay gets cleared up?

No, we post it the date it becomes available, which is typically on the settlement date. But if there is a review process that results in it not posting until the following business day, the funds are not available for use until that day so we would not back date it.

Are you not required to post it on the settlement date under ACH rules. You mean I would lose a day's interest because you could not figure out how to post it and I could incur overdraft charges that would not be refunded just because you were having an issue?

Usually this occurs when there is an information mismatch and we go the extra mile to resolve it. But admittedly, I am not familiar with the back office process so I will go back to them to revisit.

not where I want to be
We return items that don't post to avoid this issue. Also, once you manually touch that ACH transaction you become liable for it. If there is an information mismatch, the item should be returned.
