Our bank has a customer that is getting ready to purchase a trailer for his farm. He is buying it from an entity for $31,000.00. The entity has requested three money orders, one for $21,000 payable to the entity, another for $5,000 payable to the owner and another $5,000 money order payable to the co-owner. We are questioning doing this transaction like the way they want it. We have discussed should we issue them a money order for $31,000 and the seller can handle distribution of the money the way they want to. If we do it the way they have requested do we file a SAR for possible structuring. We know the purpose of the money in that it is going to the purchase of a trailer. .

You can only structure cash. I fail to see this being a problem.
