I am looking for a list of the valid tracts from the 2020 Census to be used to validate valid combinations of msa, state, county, tract. Is there a list available somewhere on the Census website? I have searched but cannot find what I am looking for.

I thought you could go to the Census website and search by State, which would then break it down by county.

Do you have a link to the specific area of Census website? There is a lot of data there.

I am not looking the ability to query for the data via a screen. I need the whole kit and kaboodle of all valid geocode combinations. I would prefer an extract or data file that I can import into excel or SQL. A pdf would not be ideal either.

I am pretty sure this is the list of year 2021 geocoding values. I dont think these are for 2022. There were a lot of changes being made for 2022.

Are you looking for 2020 like the thread title indicates? If so, you can change the year on the website. I don't think 2022 is available yet.

I am looking for the changes being made to 2022 geocoding (I believe those are based upon the 2020 Census). Yes my title was not clear at all.

The FFIEC geocoding site allows geocoding to the 2020 Census tracts but does not provide any demographics for the 2020 Census yet. Eventually it will, but for the time being, you can use it to get the correct tract FIPS codes for any 2022 loans.

So I am finding if I use the geocoding on FFIEC, I am getting new census tracts for my market. As the previous poster mentioned the demographics are not yet provided. Do I need to add the new census tracts and the information to the public folder and policy by April 1st and for the section that I typically use the demographic listing add an asterisk and put not yet available for new census tracts? I wouldn't be too worried about it typically, but we are having an exam at the end of April.

I was able to obtain the data I needed. It was an excel file with 74,135 records. Again it is the full list of valid geocoding combinations to be used for action year 2022 reporting. The 2022 annual changes were based on the census updates. It does not include the any demographic data at this time. Just the tract data.

Example of the last few records.:
state msa county tract census year
78 99999 030 9610.00 2020
78 99999 030 9611.00 2020
78 99999 030 9612.00 2020
78 99999 030 9900.00 2020

How are you updating your CRA Public File for April 1, 2022. Are you using the 2020 data census tracts even though FFIEC hasn't released the demographic information.
