We have a loan with two houses as collateral, and we estimated for two appraisal fees on our LE. We found out the branch can do an in-house evaluation for the secondary collateral, but we did not estimate for the additional $50 on the origination fee (our charge for the in-house evaluation) on the LE. How would we go about increasing the origination fee on additional disclosures (or can we)?

How and when did you find out and was it a valid changed circumstance?

That's what I am trying to find out, am I correct that we may only increase that fee if we have a valid changed circumstance that would warrant a revised LE?

You can increase any fee you want to, but your baseline for testing for a tolerance cure is based on the initial LE unless a valid changed circumstance happens.

And why would that increase your origination fee and why would it not be a separate internal appraisal/evaluation fee? Otherwise, you are left trying to explain different origination fees for different customers.
