We have an elderly customer who is regularly the victim of financial abuse from her adult daughter. We have tried to stop this for a long time. We file SARs and I've also always reported it to Adult Protective Services. I know for a fact APS has looked into the situation before because they've called me and our client has also mentioned that APS had gotten involved. My question is, every time I file a continuation SAR (every 90 days or so), do I need to file a report with APS again? It's the exact same type of activity that has been reported to them in the past. I know there is a requirement to report elder abuse, but I'm confused about how often I report this to them. Any help is appreciated.

This is state law dependent. I would ask your legal counsel.
