Looking for ideas to deter a nearby homeless population from camping out in front of the branch doors overnight / coming in durring the day. We have had several instances of staff arriving for opening and there is someone sleeping on the sidewalk near the front door, We are in a plaza near a storage facility where homeless congregate. Any suggestions appreciated.

Music and lighting have been shown in studies to be a deterrent for loitering groups and such. Maybe the bank can sponsor one or two of the individuals to provide temporary housing or help get them integrated into the local housing authority. Tricky situation and I wish you the best of luck.

Lighting and increased security, including patrols.

We discovered that the homeless were only around our banks because we had exterior electrical outlets they wanted to use. Increased lighting and added lockable exterior electrical outlet covers....problem solved.
