We've had an institution reach out to us for our ATM records as one of their customer's is claiming fraud involving our ATM. Would we require a subpoena to provide that documentation or would an affidavit of fraud suffice? I have two different departments that have separate views on this and any guidance provided is appreciated.

It totally depends on what they are asking for and whether it is covered in your network agreement. You would have to provide a little bit more information about what they are requesting.

My guess is they want photos from the ATM camera based on how the question was posed?

Then I believe they are obligated to oblige such a request through the network agreement, but they should review to confirm.

You need to get careful time and date info or anything else that can point to where on the video record to look. Don't allow them to view the full record.
