I realize this comment is few days behind the rest of you all, but I'm just adding my experience in case it is helpful to anyone else who may receive unexpected FinCEN communications. This morning (7/5/22) I received a second reply message to a SAR that I had already successfully, discretely filed on 06/23/2022. I was confused and concerned that my SAR had been accidentally refiled by FinCEN because they had already issued me a reply message with the BSA ID No for that SAR on 06/27/2022.
Since the only way to communicate with their help desk is via email/error ticket, I created a detailed ticket, provided all dates and tracking numbers, and then got an automated reply telling me that "reports filed accidentally in their system could not be deleted....etc, etc.." So, I replied back to that email to clarify that I had NOT filed any report twice and that I only needed to confirm that FinCEN had not refiled my SAR in error. They just now emailed me back to explain that some users did not receive their notifications for reports that were filed on 06/23/2022 and 06/24/2022; therefore, they have resent all acknowledgements for reports which were filed on those dates.
