For a commercial loan, Under Tennessee state law, is it permissible to convert a balloon note to a variable rate note at maturity, via loan renewal, or is a new note required?
Unless there is a TN attorney that participates here and even then, without knowing what your balloon note consists of, opining sight unseen is impossible. Contact your legal counsel. This is just a contractual issue.
