I'm wondering where I would be able to find the account documentation requirements that the Bank has on 1031 Exchange accounts, where the Bank isNOT the qualified intermediary?

Is there any reason that we would need to require the exchange agreement? Would our needs be covered by just a w-9 as they are in a tenant/escrow account?

I am interested in this as well. I have a customer who wants to open a 1031 account using a Qualified Intermediary who is not located in our state. What CIP would be required for the Qualified Intermediary, such as beneficial ownership, SOS registrations, trust paperwork and what else? I've never dealt with 1031 accounts and I'm not sure where to start.
