We just recently opened a new branch and marketing want to knows if we can offer a special promo CD rate for that branch only? When I asked if they were going to offer it to existing customers from other branches, the answer was they would have to go to the new branch.

I am concerned about UDAAP and potential reputational risk if customers get upset.

I have looked for guidance and can't seem to find anything.

Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.

Not that unusual of a promotion to drive foot traffic to a new branch. It would not give me any heartburn as long as anyone that shows up is eligible for the rate.
