Has anyone seen this or built procedures to comply with this yet? This is the 1st I'm hearing of it.

"The Texas Comptroller is pleased to announce the implementation of the Financial Institution Tax Data Match Program." Texas Tax Code Sec 111.025.

FI shall each quarter, exchange data with Comptroller's Agent.....
Method 1: All Accts Method - FI submits to Comptroller an e-file of all FI's open accounts & owner records; or
Method 2: Matched Accts Method - FI submits to Comptroller and e-file listing all acct owner records that match info in an inquiry file.

Randy, you may be thinking of the Financial Institution Data Match that requires a financial
institution to match its account owners with persons owing child support. It has been around for a very long time.

It was passed by the Texas Legislature in 2021. It is called the Delinquent Taxpayer Data Match at Financial Institutions
HB 1258 authorizes the Comptroller’s office to request information from financial institutions for the purpose of matching accounts with delinquent taxpayer records. https://capitol.texas.gov/BillLookup/History.aspx?LegSess=87R&Bill=HB1258
