Is there ANY reason for a bank to still be using a knuckle buster in this day and age? At one time, banks were told if they didn't have an imprint of the card, the bank was stuck if there was fraud or chargeback considerations. I'm not sure if that was true, or if that was a Visa/MC rule. If cash advances are being submitted via a terminal (which I'm sure most are), unless there is an electronic failure, is there any need for a knuckle buster (even for recovery of chargeback funds)? I know there are PCI compliance issues to be aware of, too.

Considering most modern credit cards are issued without any raised embossing whatsoever... knuckle busters are 100% obsolete. smile
Put it on the shelf next to the rotary phone the bank wishes to hold onto too, just in case. wink grin
