A Closing Disclosure was requested today. Once it was prepared, internal review caught that the loan payment was approx $400 more than the Loan Estimate payment. It was realized the LE was prepare as a 15 yr maturity with a 30 year amort; while the Closing Disclosure was created with a 15year maturity with a 15 year amort - which is the correct amortization for our product. Are we able to re-disclose the Loan Estimate at this point?

Once a CD is issued your window to redisclose the LE is closed.

Why not issue the CD with the correct information. You made a mistake. Issuing another LE is not going to correct that mistake.

My thought was to issue the amended LE to show the corrected payment amount and no balloon and to received the applicant's intent to proceed with those corrected terms.

Well, that would be a business decision, but either way the original LE was not issued in good faith, and you cannot unring that bell.
