If we sponsor a sweepstakes conducted by a local high school are we responsible for make sure it would not be considered a lottery and that their marketing of the sweepstakes is compliant? We will be listed as a sponsor but will not be running the sweepstakes.

I would only allow them to say that you donated xyz for the drawing. I would not allow the word "sponsor" to be used. Talk to your legal counsel.
