Good afternoon,

We are going to be limiting access to safe deposit boxes/branch oeprations due to a branch renovation. My understanding is that we need to send a letter to the affected box customers at least 30 days prior to starting the renovation & then also post a notice on our branches prior to the start of the renovation. . We will have the exception for emergency situations on entering during renovation as well as telling the customer that if they need to enter their box, we will set up an appointment if not an emergency.

Do you know of any different on this or any other additional notifications that we need to send to our customers? Are there any specific safety disclosures that we must post as well?

The requirements would be driven by your contract and state law, so this is a question to ask your legal counsel.
