I've been on a significant weight loss journey and have lost over 70 pounds since February. However, I seem to be in the doldrums right now, and sticking to my diet and exercise plan is a bit of a drag at the moment.
I'd appreciate any motivational hints or tips you can offer.
Thanks!

Try on some of your old clothes, or look at an old picture of yourself. :-)
Also for food/calorie tracking, 2 apps I recommend; MyFitnessPal and LoseIt. After tracking for a while, the dieting becomes easier.
Substitute lower calorie foods (after a while you won't miss to many of the old ones), use a smaller plate, if you see someone with a weight issue, picture yourself there.
Get some article of clothes you REALLY want, one size smaller, and l\keep it out, looking at it!
and most importantly - CONGRATULATIONS

Thanks, Rocky. I put on a formerly favorite pair of capris today, and it was a boost to see that I could nearly fit another person in them with me.

a healthy lifestyle is a lifelong journey, as with any journey there will be setbacks. yes, it gets monotonous dealing with a daily diet, and the same exercise every day can grow old. change your routine it up a little bit. have a cheat day, where you eat one bad thing (in moderation, of course). skip a workout day. or alter your workout to something completely different. there are a ton of workout videos free on youtube, try yoga, tai-chi, stair climbing, resistance band training, body weight exercises...all work different muscle groups and can be quite challenging.
70 pounds in 6 months is pretty serious, and now your body has grown accustomed to your caloric intake and exercise routine, making it harder to see noticeable results. so change both up a little bit.
most of all, don't lose sight of your target. or of the accomplishment you've already made.

I know when I lost 50-60 pounds using a regiment of walking (about five miles daily), some weight training, and a healthier diet, looking at myself naked in a mirror was far better incentive than just stepping on a scale because my weight did not always go down. Muscle is denser than fat so you can expect to put weight on at times. It seems contrary to the goal, but that's why looking at your body becomes motivating - because you can see the fat drop off being replaced with muscle. Good luck.

That is awesome! Congratulations! I am going through the same thing, but not where you are yet. One thing I know, don't deprive yourself of everything. Especially something you really love. Just eat in moderation. Believe it or not, yesterday, I only took a small section of a delicious cookie, where in the past I may have eaten several without even thinking about it. I agree with the others above. Keep an article of clothing in sight that in the past you may never considered wearing as your encouragement. Also, pay attention to your surroundings. We were school shopping several weeks ago, and at a restaurant I couldn't help but notice all of the people that were overweight. I thought to myself "I don't want to be that person". Keep up the amazing work! And be proud of yourself for how far you have come!

Congrats!
Not sure how you're doing your exercise plan, so this might not be feasible, but I could not keep mine up until I started doing it with a crew. When other people you enjoy being around expect you to be there doing things, then you show up, which is 60-95% of it. I joined a gym, and the folks that come in at 5:30am were strangers when I started, and now they're some of my favorite people.
Also recommend Atomic Habits by... somebody. There are some other good books on habits recently as well. Making something a habit instead of something you have to consciously choose over and over makes it a million times easier. I'm barely awake, and then I'm just at the gym in the morning. I barely remember how I got there half the time.

First, Congrats on making such great progress!! I am sure that took a lot of willpower and hard work.
My two cents: When I joined my local athletic club (they don't like to call it a gym!), I made a lot of new friends. At my prior gym, I rarely ever talked to anyone. Now I have not only a good exercise schedule, but I am also being more social. I've started playing tennis and pickleball, which is a blast and great for burning calories. Being around other people my age that have implemented a healthy lifestyle motivates me to elevate my standards for what I eat and how I treat my body. Hang out with the people that inspire you to be your best and you will keep that motivation!

I'd refer to Regulation A Sec 1001.6 - Subsequent Disclosure requirements:
A. You must disclose clearly and conspicously on an ongoing basis:
1. You are awesome! 2. It's a journey, not a destination. 3. Intermittent non-compliance is still within safe harbor. 4. You got this!
