So with the State of Florida changing driver's license numbers for all drivers upon the next renewal, what are the considerations for a bank in Florida. We have already verified their identity for CIP, but what is the expectation to obtain the new number when it is renewed? And what other areas should be considered?

What would you use it for? If you don't use it, you don't need it.

CTR, SAR reporting would need the updated driver's license number. But then I was asking as I didn't know if there were other possible impacts such as for ChexSystems, lending, and risk of identity theft (by not having the correct DL in the system).

CTR, SAR reporting would need the updated driver's license number.

Why?

From the instructions: Acceptable identification information obtained previously and maintained in the financial institution’s records may be used. For example, if documents verifying an individual’s identity were examined and recorded on a signature card when an account was opened, the financial institution may rely on that information.

Considering that a CTR should be completed when individuals are in front of the teller, I would expect tellers would be asking for identification as they likely don't personally know every customer/member. But playing the other side of the argument, many cores now have access to an image of the ID on record, so does a teller really need to ask for ID? In any case, I doubt providing the old number will be an impediment for law enforcement when reviewing either a CTR or SAR.
