Hands down it's gotta be the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

I agree...Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero are definitely in the top 5 for me...
Chris Benoit is also up there as well

I remember watching wrestling when I was a kid - midnight on Saturday nights on Channel 9 out of New York, it was on right after harness racing. I started watching again several years ago, but it was much too over the top and vulgar for me.

All over the map.

Kerry Von Erich I thought he was great when I was a kid. Like Jac, I loved watching late on Saturday nights, pretending to be asleep on the couch so I could turn on wrestling after mom went to sleep.

I'll second Ted DeBiase. Nebraska had other famous pro wrestlers, too - - Baron Von Raschke (The Claw) and Mad Dog Vachon included.

I too remember watching wrestling when I was a kid, during late 50 or early 60s. Haystack Calhoun, Bruno SanMartino were a couple I recall. There was a wrestler whose outfit was that of an American Indian...don't recall his name. And, on occassion they would show midget wrestling and women wrestling. Would watch with my grandmother who thought it was all real.

what about the von Erichs? Fritz (Dad), David, Kerry, and 2 younger brothers, all wrestled, most met with early deaths due to health reasons...

Does anyone remember Ricky Romero? He's an old favorite of mine. Also, the British Bulldogs, Bret Hart and the Macho Man Randy Savage were awesome.

Road Warriors were cool, but the Rockers were sweet. Marty Jannety and a little scrawny dude named Shawn Michaels...

What...no one has mentioned the Hulkster!?! I used to go to the matches in the early 80's as a kid and was able to get Hulk Hogan's autograph. Baron Von Raschke (sp) was usually there as well. Although I don't watch it anymore, but my husband and sister-in-law faithfully tape it weekly, my most recent favorite would have to be Owen Hart.
