Can someone direct me to a website that has the requirements for New York CEMA loans? I need information regarding allowable fees and charges on these loans also. Thanks.

By CEMA loans, are you referring to Consolidation, Extension and Modification Agreement?

I'm not aware of any site I can point you to, but I'm with a NY Bank and prior life is in Mortgage Banking for 15 years. What kind of fees and/or charges are you referring to? Related to obtaining original documents for the underlying mortgage or fees for preparing the CEM? Our institution charges up to $750 for the underlying docs to be provided, it varies by institution and I'm not aware of any limitation. I've seen it for much less, in the $200-$300 range also. If someone wants to do a CEM with us on an existing loan with us there isn't a charge, only if they go to another lender. Our bank closing attorney (we have them in NY)charges an additional $150 - $200 to prepare the CEM docs.

FYI - Don't report any CEM on your LAR!!!!
