I am wondering if anyone has a form type response letter for Consumer Union Check 21 form letter being issued to banks. If you do and willing to share, please contact me.
Thanks.

There is an excellent response on the ABA website. We have educated our employees on the biased media slant such as that offered by the Consumer Union and prepared them for the type of questions they have already encountered and may again receive in the days ahead.

I hadn't looked at that letter yet. It would also provide valuable training talk-offs to customer contact staff who may be answering questions on these issues.

Ann - this is an EXCELLENT letter - thanks for sharing it. Is there any source that this letter becomes available to "save" as a pdf, so that it can be shared with staff. This one is protected - is this letter on the ABA web site and available for public?

CubDave, I didn't have any problem saving it. How are you accessing it? It might also depend on how your Adobe Reader helper application is set up to work with your browser.

In any event, here's a direct link to the document. Try right-clicking and saving the file to your hard-drive.

Do you have a copy of the original letter from the Consumer Union?
