A customer has an adjustable rate loan-and every month he put extra on principal. His rate did not change in April because our index remained the same- is there anything in Reg Z that we have to recalculate his payment because he put extra on principal- he received the notice that his interest rate didn't change but no other notice because his payment would not change. Thanks alot.

No. Your note should have a provision stating what affect a rate change will have on the account. Normally this is a change in the payment. If there is no rate change, then nothing is affected.

His additional payments are voluntary and not a part of the contract.
