I had a customer named Hugh Askew ( who ask you)?
He would laugh each time he said his own name!

We have a customer who is a OB/GYN, named Dr. Grabb. The loan officer said that the Doctor did not yet have a good handle on the English language when he named his son Peter.

I remember a waitress from my high school days named Gladsy. We called her "Happy Butt"! People asked us why? Being from the south we would dragged out the name GLADSY to GLADAASSSS. Henceforth: Happy Butt!

I had a customer named Miss Tuesday Smith. Yes, her first name is Miss and her middle name is Tuesday. She went by both. The bad thing was that the main office would call every now and then to tell us that we couldn't have prefixes in the database. I'd have to go through the story every couple of months.

I have always wondered if she had a brother named Mister Monday.

I saw an obituary several years ago for a lady named Ima Hogg. I would definately have to change my name. Thank God I had sane parents. Although, my grandfather gave me a nickname of Paudry.

At a former bank, we had a married couple who had legally changed their names to Hans and Meri - like Cher or Prince, with no last name. He was a photographer and she was a model. Try setting up a CIF with no last name. It's not easy!

Not really a funny name - just a funny coincidence. I knew a widow lady named Mrs. Krueger. She never changed her listing in the phone book. Left it under her deceased husband's name. Each and every Halloween, she'd get crank calls like crazy, and she just couldn't figure it out. It really upset her until I explained about the series of movies.... Yup! You guessed it - her husband's name had been Freddie!

When I was a camp counselor in college I had a camper named Always Sweet. Her sisters were named Beautiful, Lovely and Very. The Mom was pregnant and we always assumed the last baby would be named Nutra.

Well, my middle name is Lund and my last name is Fridge. In elementary school, the kids would sing LUNDon Fridge is falling down! That, ans a million other "Fridge" related things.

I also knew a kid named Horace Hiney. We had fun with that.

I also played in a band where everyone had a nickname.

Speaka' played keyboards
Scalah played drums
Wildman Donnie played keynoards and trumpet
Wildman Joey played trumpet
Holmes played bass
Mr. Craig (his real name, just spoken with a funny accent) played sax
Beef/The Fish played guitar
and I, Topher, played trumpet

Beef had a family that all had nicknames:
His dad was called Lou
His mom was called Bee
One brother was known only as the Shlong
His brother Chet was called Hacker or Hacker Stacker.
Hacker had a friend named Flocko and another named Wracy, but Wracy was actually his real name!

Oh yeah, when I was in 10th grade, there was a girl in my English class who got preagnant. Her name was Chastity! She named her duaghter Liberty Faith.

I played on a soccer team with a Michael Hoch. German name; clueless parents. My best friend from law school has the nickname Sugard__k Jones for his touch with the ladies. Another friend from school had the nickname Hornet. That's a silly story and it wouldn't be funny to anybody else. But we still try to get his fiance and parents to call him Hornet. They called me BOAF which is an acronym. Funny thing is they explain it with every possible permutation of those letters. A dumb nickname contributes to an identity crisis on the next Jerry.
