I consider myself more pessimistic...but I just thought to myself...(as I look at my half gone cup of coffee) if someone asked my I would say the cup is half full (literally). But I think I am more on the half-empty side of things (figuritively).

I aways thought that the contents were insufficent to fill the glass. Or is it that the glass is too big?

the question was half empty/half full, but 3 choices...I'm so confused. Is this a democratic trick?

First, what is in the glass. Is this something I want, need or desire? Or is it something distasteful or dangerous?

Next, lets define "glass". Is this plastic or real glass, crystal perhaps? Do I get to keep the glass and what are the associated risks with it, are there nicks, cracks and is it delicate or very breakable. How big is this glass and is it manageable or an extremely minor issue?

We may have to risk-factor each of these issues in order to arrive at a consensus. Then again, what if we cannot reach a consensus? If we have differing opinions, will there be any regulatory guidance on this issue and who will be the primary authority to issue this?

All I think we can conclude now is that whatever is in the glass is muddy at best. Perhaps we should work on FCRA/FACT Act and Check 21 before we get into this hard stuff.

Half full or half empty? Doesn't matter. It's simply another dish I must wash.

the question was half full or empty...it depends on the day and how im feeling and how the question is asked. if they ask it to me like this did then i would prob say both its never really the same.

The glass seems to be twice as large as it needs to be.

WOOHOO
Maybe one day we'll grow weary of whining and celebrate the rain, the manna, the half-filled glass of water, the little gifts from heaven that make each day bearable. Instead of cloaking ourselves in the armor of pessimism, maybe we'll concede that we are who we are: capricious, unfortunate, wonderful, delicate, alive. Forgiven.

We have a winner! I miss that cartoon! Part of the great triad of dailies from my youth: The Far Side, Bloom County and Calvin and Hobbes! I can't even remember the last time read or even laughed on the comics page of the newspaper.

The Boondocks by Aaron McGruder is pretty damn good. The TV show of it doesn't do the comic justice.
