More prayers please. There are now some doubts about whether Pat is still going to be a donor. More testing needs to take place. I'm at a pretty low point today on this emotional roller coaster.

All over the map.
Is there any way for any of us to be tested? I would be glad to, just to see if there was a chance.

I know I'm new but I came across this post and wanted to extend my prayers as well. I have a "prayer team" here at work and I will add your beautiful little one to that list.

Elena, it is a wonderful idea and we REALLY appreciate it. Right now we have 7 or 8 people on stand by waiting to be tested. The hospital is a little blown away, they've never seen THIS kid of response. I sent out a letter to our friends and family, with directions on how to contact the hospital. (I was going to post it here, but don't have a copy of the letter at work.) I'm next to be tested, but we're still holding out hope that Pat will be a match. Natalie has to have an MRI done to look at the size of her liver compared to the size of the section from him; why they haven't done this before now is beyond me .

Right now, if you could PRAY that'd be the best thing!

(That and sign your organ donor card and donate blood. She's received 4 different blood transfusions in the last 13 months.)

Can we donate on her behalf? I donate every 60 days and they always ask how I'd like to donate. Usually I donate to community since I don't know anyone in need of a transfusion, but I'd love to donate towards your daughter.

I know MOML donated regularly, and when his dad needed blood during heart surgery, he was able to get it due to MOML's donations. I don't know if that only works with family members, but I would think you could direct it wherever you want.

Typically you can't donate blood to a specific person unless it's a family situation, and normally only if they're local. Blood does not travel well. But, as Luv stated, donate in their honor While his little Luv might not receive your donation, someone who needs it will.

If you're not a registered donor, or if you think you are, but haven't registered within the last three or four years, re-register! The state registeries were not connected to the national registry until the last few years, and old information was not added from most states. The note on the back of your drivers license might not be enough.

And besides that...you don't have to die to donate! My dearest friend could use that one special person's bone marrow to save her life. Another person might need your particular rare blood type, or perhaps one of those spare body parts you don't mind getting rid of. Bone marrow is one of those easy donations that a person can give and give, and save lifes, but so few people are registered! There is pain with donation, but this is a renewable resource that won't endanger your life to give. The benefits to donating are huge. You know you gave another person a chance at life! How much more can we do for people? Run out and register, pretty please? You can see from Luv's situation how valuable it would be to save a precious life by giving
