I have had terrific results from Duct Tape, especially with plantar's warts. You can always cover the duct tape with a band-aid so no one asks questions. The great thing about using duct tape is that it also gets the roots and doesn't hurt.

Tagamet CAN be prescribed for children in treating warts, but the dosage changes according to height/weight. It's painless and it works! I know from experience. Apparently, it boots the body's immune system so that the body is able to fight off the virus that causes the warts.

If you all hadn't been kissing toads, you wouldn't have gotten the warts!

Toenail clippers and a band-aid! Just kidding, don't do that, as someone who has done it I can tell you it is not a smart idea. They have a healthy blood supply and they just grow back. Go to the doctor and have it surgically removed.

I had plantar warts on my foot for six months and was going to the podiatrist for treatment. He just made them spread. I went to the chiropractor and he asked me what was going on with my foot. I told him. He told me he was not going to let me leave his office without taking a bottle of L-Lysine with me. I took it and within a week the plantar warts were gone. (this is good for cold sores also.)

I had plantar's warts in high school. I didn't know what it was; I thought I stepped on a piece of glass and got it stuck in my heel. After many weeks and many attempts at digging it out myself (ouch), I told Mom and Dad, and we went to a podiatrist. I had waited too long, and the central wart was 1/4 inch round on the surface, but an inch round below the surface. And it spread, so I had about twenty little ones starting on my toes. Doc had to cut the big one out; six stitiches in my heel, and burned the others off with electrolysis. When I went back to get the stitches out, he had to burn a couple more off that showed up.

After that, I always wore flip flops in the locker room.

I wish I could remember where I read this, and it was just recently!

This article in a magazine claims that Sally Hansen Hard As Nails (nailpolish/nail strengthener) will work to remove both warts and skin tags. Just paint it on the skin tag or wart every day, and eventually after a couple of weeks, it will fall off. I've not tried this, but read it.

Disclaimer: You should probably run this past a doctor, and I'm no physician, but the article claims it works.

I did a search on the Internet. Many of the home remedies suggested apple cider vinegar. Another suggestion was to rub the inside of a banana peal and tape on over night. Has anyone tried these? My son has 30 + warts on his hands and he is getting to the age that it is emabarrassing. I am curious to know if they work or if it is just folklore. These remedies sound much better than the dermatologist has tried.

Warts are strange little things. My mother had warts when she was a little girl and her grandmother (my great) rubbed a chicken liver over them wrapped the chicken liver in an old dishcloth and buried it. My mother says that the warts soon disappeared.

When I was a girl I also had warts on my hands, I think I counted 20 or so. I don't think we ever tried the chicken liver thing but I had them frozen off at least once, they came back...At last a neighbor told my mother to try giving me OsCal (brand) of calcium supplement. It worked they went away; I have never had them since.

I would try the OsCal first. I forgot to mention that the liver in the dishcloth, must be buried under a full moon…

My 7 year old niece had many many warts on her hands, arms, legs, and face. The dermatologist burned off some and used blister beetle on others. Then he got tired of hurting the child!

He prescribed a genital wart cream for the ones on her face..figuring it would be gentle enough. It worked.

For her hands, arms and legs, my sister used AcidMantle cream every night. It is a PH balancer. That got rid of the others and she hasn't had a recurrence over the past year.
