I sure hope that the good folks at 1st National Bank Killeen are paying you a lot of money to do what you do. With all this praise, I think you could make a killing as a consultant. Thanks to Andy and everyone else for all the help.

I must also say a big "thank you" Andy. You have no idea how helpful your input is. As we all know, sometimes this job can be rather overwhelming and its nice to know there are friends out there who are willing to take the time and help you out. It also amazes me how you can remember all this stuff without having to look it up. I would love to know what your secret is!!!

Please don't retire before I do ... unfortunately I have a ways to go!

Hey Andy, if you ever get depressed or anything like that (like after the caffeine wears off) you can just look back at the 6 pages of pats-on-the-back! YOU DAH MAN!!! Yes, we truly thank you for being so kind as to e-mail us things directly (even when you are not at work) when you sense the desperation in our e-voices. I can't possibly imagine doing this job with out folks like you and I, too, look for your posts for not only valuable information, but for a free laugh too. If folks outside our offices only knew what we were laughing about, they'd wonder even more about us! And old compliance officers never die so we won't need to even have a funeral for you!! And I'm not saying you are old, but when ever you get there....

I like it when a compliance officer laughs. It makes the others jealous.

Here is a Friday laugh (its after 3 and the clock is turned ahead).

This good ol boy sold a mule to a farmer for $20. By the time he got there to deliver it, the mule had died. The farmer demanded his money back but the good ol boy had already spent it. He said he'd have it for him in a week.

Sure enough a week later he gave the farmer his $20. The farmer asked how he got this money. "I raffled it off for $2 a ticket" the good ol boy told him. He said he sold 200 tickets. The farmer said that was insane, who'd buy a ticket to win a dead mule. The good ol boy said he didn't tell them it was dead, that would be silly. So the farmer asked if the winner was upset at winning a dead mule. The good ol boy said he was at first, but he gave him his $2 back and it was OK.

The good ol boy was Kenneth Lay and he grew up to run Enron.

Andy - are you related to Data on Star Trek? You are so well respected, informative, fast... not to mention the banking regulation encyclapedia. You must have a chip in you somewhere!

You know, at Andy's current posting rate, if we can keep this thread alive another 6 weeks, he'll be at the 3,000 post level.

You're right! Over the last 41 days, Andy has been posting at an incredible rate of over 13 posts per day (including weekends). The only person I've seen even come close to that pace was Vegan2, and those posts weren't nearly as useful as Andy's.
