We all know acronyms like BSA, CIP, & OFAC, which are not really anyone’s favorite. However, I’d like to know your favorite ones. Here are some of mine…

These may be handy to remember as you go through your performance evaluation or budget meeting:
SWAG – Scientific Wild A$$ Guess
PFA – Pulled from Air (or A$$)
BOHICA – pronounced Bo Hick A – Bend Over Here It Comes Again

And don’t forget my favorite regulator (they know I love ‘em):
LOFI – pronounced loafy

I was doing a training session on regulations and asked at different times what BSA and CRA stood for. The answers I got----(and I am not kidding!)
BSA-----Boy Scouts of America
CRA-----Can't Remember Anything

I've always liked SWAT since it sounds like what they do to bad guys!

I've always liked

POSSLQ = persons of the opposite sex sharing living quarters. Pronounced pos sul kew.

I believe it originated on a U.S. census form many years ago.

snorkeling in warm, clear wate...
Referring back to PITA (pain in the @$$) -- I had an examiner choke back laughter when he saw a scribbled note that I'd inadvertently left in the rough draft of a risk analysis that referred to the "PITA Rating - no bang for the buck" -- he couldn't figure out what a pita had to do with a risk rating...
