Well, I spoke to Lynne this morning and the doctor has seen her today and as of right now everything in on track for her to be discharged to home TOMORROW!!!!!!! After 81 days in the hospital (40 of which were in ICU), she is finally coming home.
For those of you who don't believe in the miraculous power of prayer, let this experience serve as a testimony that God is real and that he does desire a relationship with us. It is our sin that separates us from God, but that separation can be bridged through the person of Jesus Christ. He is faithful to His word in all things. And in all things, He is in control. It was only through an abiding faith in these tenets and the uplifted prayers of all our wonderful friends and family that we were able to make it through this long ordeal.
You too can have this confidence and assurance from God. His gift of eternal life and salvation is a free gift available to all, but you must choose to accept it. If God is calling to you today to come close to Him, don't deny Him. Simply say this prayer:
God, I recognize from your teaching that I am a sinner. I understand there is nothing I can do myself to make myself worthy of Your perfection. I believe that you sent Your son, Jesus Christ into this world to bridge that gap. He was crucified, but on the third day he rose from the grave and ascended to heaven to prepare our home. I accept Your forgiveness of my sins and Your gift of eternal salvation through this belief. I turn my life over to You to lead and guide me through your Word. Amen.

I know you don't know me but I have been praying for Lynne and sending her e-cards at the hospital. I just wanted you to know that both she and you have touched my heart so much. Your faith has been unwaivering in the face of such testing. Thank you for helping me to strengthen my own faith through your example. Amen to the amens, Jim! I also admire your boldness in sharing the Truth of God's love and His plan of salvation. May I (and others) remember your example and be willing to step out in boldness with others in sharing the Good News with our co-workers and friends who don't know Jesus. The time is NOW!

We got home yesterday afternoon! Had a very good first night and morning at home. I think I now need to add a pharmacy degree to my nursing degree.
