It's also tough to say play only the starters the first quarter and then come playoff and tournament time expect them to have the experience and playing time to go the distance once you really do run into some better teams. Since our girls only have 10 on the squad, the second string only gets better because they play against the first string constantly. What our coach does is start mixing the first and second strings and runs the two different teams in and out every 3-4 minutes. We played a decent team the other night and still scored over 60 points and won by 20+. This year we have basicly the same team as last year as there wasn't a senior on the squad last year. During state tournament, we averaged beating the other teams to win the gold ball by 30+ points. Our team is just pretty phenomenal. There hasn't been a dynasty in this state like ours has been for years running.
Naturally, everyone hates us!
