Are there any state laws prohibiting the bank from giving cash to a customer for being approved for a loan? Let's say that if they get a $15,000 loan, we pay them $10. If they get a $25,000 loan we pay them $15. Also, would RESPA have anything to say about this? Because for RESPA we aren't paying anyone but the customer, so I wouldn't think it would apply. If you say that there is state code that addresses my question, could you please provide a code section also? Thanks.
