I have seven checks that I sent to another California bank for forged endorsements. They sent it back saying it is past the 1 year limit and the 3 year limit does not apply because Califonia law states 1 year warranty. What happened to the UCC that all banks follow? Can anyone cite the Califorina Code and where can I find it? Thanks

Calif. Code of Civil Procedure Section 340(c) provides a one-year statue of limitations on forged drawer signatures or forged endorsements. The three year limitations period is provided under the Commerical Code Section 4111, but section 340(c) applies to claims by depositors against their bank for the payment of forged checks drawn on the depositor's account.
