When I look up bills in California, like 655 and 1068, they state that these bills are either "enrolled" or "chaptered." What do these terms mean?

Enrolled is the next to last step. Passed by both houses and sent to the Governor for signature. Chaptered means it has been signed by the Governor and is (or will become) law.
