My institution is considering allowing a new accounts representative to also sale insurance. The representative has an insurance license. For institutions with dual employees, how do you accomplish this without creating confusion for the customer and FDIC insurance concerns.

When selling non-FDIC insured products it has to be made very clear that they are non-FDIC insured - some institutions will say you must go to a separate office that has no FDIC signage, others will say take all of the FDIC signs off your desk.
I would suggest discussing with the Ins Co your representing, your legal counsel, or your independent auditor - what do they think?
