I agree totally. She sings like a cartoon character strapped to a paint mixer.
i think you were just trying to make up something funny there, because, first of all, when have you heard a singing cartoon character strapped to a cement mixer?

It was PAINT mixer, fool, not cement mixer! One makes the entire point funny...the other would just make no sense. Who ever heard of strapping Betty Boop to a cement mixer? Now, a paint mixer...that's comedy gold.

Right Ken. Vulgarity used to be used sparingly for shock value. Now it is used so much, the shock is gone, but the disgust remains.
Remmember the movie "Scarface" with Al Pacino? If they removed all the times they said the "f" word, they could have shortened the movie by an hour.
Actually it is cyclical. Ever notice the amount of swearing they used back in the wild west. (see Deadwood) The research is not my own but Entertainment weekly do a story on the show and explained the accuracy of the language during that time. Much better than I could explain it.
It's not cyclical; its cultural. While those in the wild west were cussing like sailors (another cussing culture), those in other parts of the country were not.

When I first saw her on the VMA awards, I thought she reminded me of a young Madonna. Here we go again.....

I like Holloback Girl song. Gwen's style in the video kinda reminds me of Toni Basil in Hey Mickey.

Whatever happened to Toni Basil, you ask? Did you know that she is now 63 years old? She remains active as a choreographer.

The song with Setzer is 'You're the Boss' from the 'Dirty Boogie' CD, she also did a track with Brad on one of the old Sublime CD's.
I (heart) Gwen. The solo CD is good but nothing beats the old No Doubt stuff, IMO.
