Where the heart is
Does anyone know of a contact for Habitat for Humanity, or any other housing assistance organization for low-income people in Kansas - specifically Goodland Kansas?

I have a friend who lives with her daughter in Goodland Kansas. The friend has MS and her daughter has a number of ailements as well. They survive on Disability income. They have a very small, old house in Kansas on a large lot. The house has a leaking roof, poor plumbing, and a host of other issues. The woman and her daughter do not have the income to pay for repairs, nor can they qualify for a loan.

Any ideas would be appreciated. You can PM me or reply to this post. Thanks!

Bonnie, there are three Habitat for Humanity affiliates close to Goodland - one in Fort Morgan, CO another in McCook, NB. The Garden City, KS affiliate serves all of NW and SW Kansas. Their address is PO Box 2325, Garden City, KS 67846. Phone (620) 275-9141.

Also check out the Goodland Housing Authority at 515 E. 5th St., Goodland, KS 67735. Phone (785)899-5591 Hope this helps.
