MOML has had a closely trimmed beard for years and I'd be upset if he shaved it off. Think Kenny Rogers.

I don't think Kenny Rogers has a beard...

Thanks, DQ. That's MUCH better.

You have to very cautious when discussing facial hair. There is a disorder that mostly affects african american's and if you make facial hair an issue to someone with this disorder without first inquiring about it, you could be nailed for discrimination. This happened, maybe not in the real world, when I was a Corpsman in the US Navy. So, i would eliminate the need to a policy concerning facials unless you include a disclaimer for religious and medical purposes.

Blasphemy!

On a related note, has MOYL had as much plastic surgery done as this "other" Kenny Rogers?

State of confusion
I know there is one customer we have with the never ending mullet. It cracks me up. I was wondering about the female factor. We have a lady at a local store that I just can't believe the mustache on her. Beard too. I don't know how you would address that in a bank policy. We don't dis-allow them but nobody has ever come in with one. Our VP tried to grow a mustache one time, it was awful looking.

This has to be a touchy subject considering that men in some religions are supposed to have facial hair. I would expect some sort of wording that hair (facial and head) must be clean, neat, and well groomed. If you ban it you're infringing on a person's personal liberities. If they have a beard for religious practice you must allow it, buthen the other men might become upset and ask questions or be mad. You don't want that.

This is incorrect. An employer may establish reasonable standards for appropriate appearance in the workplace. A standard must have a "business basis", or must otherwise be enacted because of health or safety reasons. It is reasonable in direct-customer contact positions in banking to establish a grooming standard calling for no facial hair, or to permit a neat mustache. An employer who does not permit beards and is basing this on a business standard of neatness is acting properly.

Disneyworld and land have a no facial hair policy. It has been upheld in numerous court cases...

Not to segue the thread, but, I just have to share this "hair story". You just can't make this stuff up...:

I went downstairs for a smoke and a woman (I think it was a woman) from the Acct. Dept was outside, she was wearing a flamenco-type dress (yuck!) and heels and NO stockings and the tops of her feet had razor stubble on them! OMG, I have never seen hair on the tops of a woman's foot before... Is that normal????

Happy, I don't think that rule is enforced at WDW any longer. At least it wasn't in October when I was there. I always thought that was an odd policy since Walt had a mustache.

DQ, I'm really not sure if the hair on her feet is the most disturbing part of the description. Flamenco?

Next time you run into her perhaps you could strike up a conversation with her……

Ask her how the weather is in the Shire, ask her if she felt the Lord of the Rings trilogy was more a documentary than a work of fiction.

Tell her that you're going boating this weekend and see her reaction. If she says that she's scared of water, it'll not only prove that she's a Hobbit, but she has no Took in her!

My boss asked me to only where a mullet and jean shorts when performing my audits. This gives our department that touch of class we previously lacked........ That was a joke guys.
