I paid 2.49 for the cheap stuff in Dallas yesterday. I spent over 30 dollars filling up my car for only the second time in my life. The question is will I be breaking $40 soon as well.

It's a sad day when you get excited about $2.34 diesel yesterday!

Just think of the stories we can tell our grandkids... "I remember when gas was $0.99 a gallon..."

$2.75 for regular unleaded in NW Ohio this morning. Rode the motorcycle to work and had put 93 octane in it at $2.95 per gallon. $9.00 to fill a motorcycle!! Guess it's better than $70.00 to fill my truck.

I swear remember gas wars in Tulsa in the late 60's or early 70's when gas was around 17 cents a gallon - of course, if I think I remember that, I must be too old to really remember anything, right? It was $3.07 in downtown Chicago yesterday afternoon and $2.62 in KC last night. Has anybody seen the thing on TV showing that they're developing chicken fat from the rendering plants as some sort of fuel and actually running test cars on it? I thought I dreamed it but my husband said he saw it too -- really weird looking - bright yellow...

I had a Kroger discount last week and paid $2.38. I got really excited over that. (How sad is that??)
I remember a trip to Florida in 1978. We stopped for gas at a station where it was .75 and my mother was complaining about how expensive it was!

Listening to NPR I found out that for every $1.00 increase in a barrel of crude oil, gasoline will go up $.3 cents at the pump.
In my neck of the woods KS: Yesterday - $2.67 Today at lunch - $2.49
