Question regarding the yield analysis, which is done on a regular basis....Finance DOES the analysis and then IA tests/validates it on a quarterly basis to see that it is within reason. Is this an IA function? I am thinking that it isn't. Are there any requirements or guidelines?

I would say that management should be responsible for monitoring yields. IA should make sure management is doing their job.

You may want to coordinate review of this with your exterals.

So, we shouldn't need to audit it or validate it on a regular basis? I am looking to make a case to my supervisor, so any further info is appreciated. I don't see any value in doing the review and quite frankly it is a waste of time.

Depends on what you mean by "regular". I would not think that it is something you would look at every month.
