Can someone direct me to a source for information about Illinois lending requirements? We are in California and I believe Illinois is as unique as CA in their requirements.

You can find links to many of the Illinois banking laws on the Illinois Bankers Association website under the Laws and Legislation/Law Department tab. You also can directly access all of the Illinois laws by going to www.ilga.gov. Note that, irrespective of the type of lending contemplated, you most likely will need to run through an analysis of several separate statutes.
