With all deference to their majesties, I hope no one reprises the whole story. (Unless they can do it in a particularly amusing way. I'm thinking a hard-boiled detective style, perhaps.)

It's beginning to sound to me like he made one or two comments and the rest of you jumped on him and then he spent the rest of the time defending himself. Sorry if that's inaccurate, but from how you're picking at him when he's not even around to defend himself it seems that way. No hard feelings, ok? I don't know the story... just what was stated here. If someone could shed a more accurate light on the subject, I'm all ears.

Pirate - go read some of the threads that sound really inflammatory where he's the poster who initiated the thread(abortion comes to mind as one of the worst) and check his response to certain women posters - that might explain it. It's a lot more than one or two comments that started it. He was relatively quiet for a couple of weeks recently so you haven't been registered long enough to really see what got it started. Instead of taking it as an insult, I wore the title with pride. Now we have a real royal family. Over time and repeated pokings, it became easier to subscribe to the theory that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So, to answer your question, Pirate, we were named by he who will not be named. It's a dubious honor at best and not something anyone else would want to ascribe to. Also, if you relatively new to BOL, you've been spared his wrath. After being banned at least twice, he's lost a bit of his bite. Not to worry. Elections will kick up and he'll launch off again. The abortion thread was a classic too.
