I have a memo from I believe an attorney's office of some service we subscribe to that gives us updates on new laws, changes in laws, etc. So needless to say, it's an abridged version of the law. My question is the part that requires a mortgagee to record a discharge of mortgage and send to the customer within 30 days. I don't know about where any of you live, but it could take up to 3 months to get any recorded documents back from the county clerk's office. As long as we can prove that it was sent to the clerk, do you think that will be sufficient?
