Andy Reid is my hero!

I think TO is going to have to take a HUGE paycut to play in the NFL again.

Agreed BF (about TO, Reid is pissing me off with the way he is getting the team prepared and with his gameplanning although my other posts underscore what a hurdle I believe Owens was really causing). Somewhere in the 1-2MM range base with incentives. Minimal chance of a contract over 2 years.

I know it's a team sport but the Eagles are not the Patriots. They couldn't run the ball before with a reliable threat on the outside, now that he's gone it will be even harder to run with 8 men in the box. Forcing the pass. The Eagles are quickly going to be falling in the division and into rebuild mode. No way 6-2.

He will take a paycut not a major one in the sense he will have a nice contract with a little signing bounus. Contracts are not guaranteed but bounus are. The contract will more than likely be for one year two tops.

We shall see. Perhaps my perception is biased (more biased than Jokerman is for Bushie actually )

In hades.
Well, we'll have to see if his ego gets in the way of signing a one or two year deal. That is, if anyone will even try to sign him. I think it would be awesome if all the team owners got together to teach him a leason and not sign him for a year(although I know that is highly unlikely).

First of all, TO is an IDIOT! (Yes I wanted to shout it)

Leaves 49'ers and almost loses a bonus because his previous agent screwed up.

Pretty much agrees to go to the Ravens, Lewis was courting him. Possibly, trying to put himself out on the market with the announcements of the Ravens deal.

McNabb starts courting TO, he decides to go to the Eagles. During contract talks, he agrees to the contract, asked by Andy Reid "Are you sure, this isn't the best of contracts". The Eagles basically paid he less than what he is worth (talent wise, not for being a cancer), making sure most of the money was on the backend and not upfront bonus and roster money (because its guarranteed). Although that same summer, sign Kearse and gave Kearse the big bucks up front.

Rosenhouse (sp) talks to TO after the season and lets him know that he is getting screwed. Fire old agent, hires Rosenhouse. Now the Soap Oprea starts. I'll hold out from camp, McNabb was tired and sick end of super bowl, nobody loves me and won't pay me the love (money) I deserve, etc...

Goes to training camp (didn't want to lose $9000.00 per day) and continues to run his mouth. Reid sends him home for a week. Nothing like being in Time Out. Comes back and shuts up. Then season starts and oh no, throws McNabb under the bus, complains the Eagles organization don't love him (didn't not have special celebration for 100th TD catch), gets into a fight with Hugh Douglas and then chanlenges the entire locker room. Guess what, permanant Time Out. Why, the Eagles told him he had to make an apology to McNabb and the team. Goes on TV with press conference to do it. Not what he was told by the Eagles. Well, time to leave again for a one game suspension. Supposedly he spoke to the Eagles and Reid and then the decision was made to suspend for three more games (4 is all that is allowed by the CBA for this type of suspension") and basically pay him for the final 5 games to sit on his butt at home.

Goes on ESPN and reads another apology, soundes more sincere this time, maybe losing $764,000.00 for four games gives you a feeling of remorse. Agent then speaks and states that the goal is to have TO on the practice feild, which would have been today. Eagles have heels dug in the dirt and say "No Thank You, we don't want any more to have to do with you."

So TO is an idiot and here is why:

1. Did not learn with the 49er's that his mouth gets him in trouble.

2. Had an incompetent agent.

3. Hired another agent, who has not be able to back up his promises with his gonzo style of being an agent.

4. Thought he was bigger than the team and a bigger star than McNabb.

5. While with the Eagles, still did not learn that his mouth and personality was not an asset.

What will happen to TO?

Someone will take a chance. However, I don't think he will ever get a big signing bonus or a contract over 2 years. (If it was me, I'd give him 1 year and tie up all the big money in incentives. If he can't back up what he says he can do, then no money.)

Am I an Eagles or TO fan. No way, Black and Silver all the way. No, the Raiders do not need TO, we have our own malcontent who just hasn't done his big blow up yet.

I just listen to a lot of Sports Radio while at work.

Speaking of Kearse, how overpaid and overrated is that clown!

TO had a chance to become Mr. Philadelphia. He could have parlayed his stay into huge endorsement bucks ala McNabb with Campbells soup. Instead his only commercials will associate him with odor. Quite fitting in my opinion. Good riddance. While the Eagles will be weaker without him on the field, they can now focus better on what they need to do to win now and how they need to bolster the receiving corps going forward.
