Glad to hear you are both home and doing better! You take care of yourself and that little one. You are both in my prayers for an even speedier recovery.

Prayers for you and Eljay. Hoping you have a speedy recovery and that Eljay continues to eat well. Enjoy the time you have holding him. Before you know it, he won't want to be held.

Congratulations Dawnie. What a good looking young man. I pray your recovery is speedy. I'll say a prayer for you and your little guy (and your big guy/nurse). I'll leave it at that because I did leave you a message in LJ's online baby book.

Thinking of both of you!! I hope everyone feels up to par soon, Mama most of all! Yeah, good luck with the sleeping thing - the Junebug STILL refuses to sleep in her own bed. (Maybe it's a first born thing? And maybe some babies are just born snugglers.) E me when you have time/energy - I'm down to single digits now myself. Big hugs to you!!!

Best wishes for both of you!

Ah...the baby swing. Yes that IS one of the world's best inventions!

I am told putting the baby in a baby seat located on top of the washing machine will also work in a pinch. I don't know, as long as the Baby Swing was willing to work, I wasn't going to risk trying anything else!

Sorry I'm so late with my congratulatory wishes but here they are.

Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations!

My nephew was a premie and he's doing absolutely wonderful, as I know yours will do to! Much prayer from my family and I.

Sorry I'm so late with this, but CONGRATS!!!! My godson was a premie, too - weighed less than 4 lbs and my husband could hold him in one hand. Now he's 3 yrs old, and a holy terror.

Get some rest - you'll be chasing him around the house in no time!

I've always heard the bouncyseat/dryer thing too - or the stovetop with the ventilator fan running - but like someone else, I'd be much too afraid of the baby bouncing right off there. (I speak from experience, the Junebug bounced herself and the bouncyseat off an ottoman at a very tender age.)

I *LOVE* our cradle swing though and hope that the Grasshopper will too. [one week, 2 hours, 38 minutes. Not that I'm counting or anything.)

I'm glad to see you were able to take him home even being so small. Mine was 3.12 when she was born at 32 weeks and she spent a month in the NICU. She was hooked up to all these machines the first day and then the second day her lung collapsed so they had to put a tube in. But now she is 3 and beats on her 9 year old sister like a rag doll. Yes the portable swing with lights and music is the best to put them to sleep. Get rechargeable batteries though.

It's so good to read that you two are home!!! Listen to an "old mother" and just follow whatever instructions you are given in that "tower". It's not all bad being waited on, in a few weeks when you are back to your old self you'll wish for someone to take care of you the way you are taking care of that little one!! Give him hugs and kisses from me.
