Not sure if anyone has heard of this, but I hear there is a program where if you suspect an employee of surfing or doing something extracurricular at work you can take automatic screenshots. Has anyone heard of this?

It is far easier, and less time-consuming, to install software that limits what sites an employee can vist. This can be based on their job description, employee level, or other criteria.

For example: Chairman, President and CEO can go wherever they want, unless it is obviously porn, etc. Officers are a little more restricted. Middle management a little more, etc.

All employees have a list that they are unrestricted on, such as the insurance website, regulators' sites, NADA, etc.

Our bank even allows employees 1 hour per day for personal reasons - to be used during lunch or breaks to plan a vacation, etc. It is called quota time and has been very effective.

ITSO monitors for abuses, and compares to Usage Policy signed by employee.

Cuts down on a lot of needless busy work.
