Going round and round
Questions going into this weekend's games:

Will the Colts hit 13-0?

Will the Bears prove they are really for real and beat the Steelers?

Can the Patriots wrap up a playoff appearance?

Which team is worse - the Raiders or the Jets?

Whose playoff hopes will be killed - Chiefs or Cowboys?

Will the Monday night game be worth watching (Saints at Falcons)?

Feel free to post answers or additional questions.

I think that the Colts will win.

Steelers have their back against the wall and will beat "Da Bears".

Lucky for the Pats that they play in a weak divison and yes they wrap up a spot.

Jets are worse, but not as bad as the Texans. They are now in the "who gets Reggie Bush" race.

Cowboys are going down.

Saints and Falcons? This matchup has got to give the NFL an upset stomach ahead of the TV ratings. I know that I am not going to be watching.

Indianapolis wins out if Dungy keeps playing the starters.
Chicago wins if they control Pittsburgh's ground game.
New England will return to the playoffs.
No opinion on Oakland / New York - but Detroit is a bigger disappointment than both.
Dallas is done.
MNF will only be marginally better than the Sunday night game. I predicted elsewhere a final score of GB 4, Detroit 2. The only thing worse would be overtime. (Memo to Dick Jauron: "Take the ball, not the wind...")

Will the Colts hit 13-0? Yes--but they won't go 16-0

Will the Bears prove they are really for real and beat the Steelers? They are for real, but will not beat the Steelers

Can the Patriots wrap up a playoff appearance? Yes

Which team is worse - the Raiders or the Jets? Raiders, but the Jets have the excuse of injuries, the Raiders do not

Whose playoff hopes will be killed - Chiefs or Cowboys? Neither this weekend; Chiefs eventually will be killed, they have to run the table AND hope for Denver/San Diego to lose.

Will the Monday night game be worth watching (Saints at Falcons)? No--how about the Sunday night game, Packers v Lions. I assume this was delibrate by the NFL to get us ready for rescheduling next year.

Feel free to post answers or additional questions.

MVP--LT, San Diego
Coach of the Year--Marvin Lewis, Cini
Super Bowl participants--Indy vs Seattle

I'd give the MVP to Carson Palmer myself. LT is a great running back, but Carson Palmer is the difference between a perenial loser and the Bengals of today.

PS: Cincinati plans on knocking off the Colts in the AFC Championship, just ask Chad Johnson.

The only thing that will keep the Colts from going 16-0 is if Dungy rests the players. The only team that really scares me is San Diego. We need to win that game and keep them out of the playoffs.

Have to disagree with both of you on the MVP - it's Peyton. No team would be hurt more by the loss of a player than the Colts if Peyton goes down.

Marv deserves coach of the year, but so does Lovie Smith.

Super Bowl - Colts vs. Panthers

BF - I heard about Johnson's claim that they would beat the Colts in the playoffs. Should be a good game - it will depend on how the Colts D does. I'm hoping he's wrong.

The playoffs will go through Indy, that pretty much seals it--home field advantage will be huge in the AFC. Not so much in the NFC this year.

Peyton will win the MVP, but if San Diego gets into playoffs, then I personally think it should be LT.

Lovie doesn't have an offense to go with that defense (see KC Chiefs in 2003) to win coach of the year.

I can't believe they blew this one up like a true guarantee. What Johnson said, after being pushed and pushed and pushed was that they could score 40 points a game and were confident they could beat anyone on any Sunday, even the Colts in the Championship. He also said the Super Bowl was their goal.

Isn't that EVERY team's goal? Shouldn't EVERY team think they can beat any other team on any given Sunday?

BF - Obviously, I did not hear the quote, just saw that CJ was "guaranteeing" 40-a-game and beating the Colts.

The only team's who don't have the Super Bowl as a goal have Reggie Bush as their primary goal now. And you shouldn't play if you don't think you have a chance.

As for the questions:

Will the Colts hit 13-0?
Yup, and looked good until the last 5 minutes.

Will the Bears prove they are really for real and beat the Steelers? Steelers proved you can run on the Bears and that they can't play catch-up ball. Orton played a decent game, but the Steelers were too much.

Can the Patriots wrap up a playoff appearance?
Miami didn't play along, beating the Chargers. Patriots should wrap up next week.

Which team is worse - the Raiders or the Jets?
Raiders!

Whose playoff hopes will be killed - Chiefs or Cowboys?
Cowboys helped themselves a bunch. Chiefs aren't out of it, but they don't have an easy road.

Someone will have to tell me about tonights game - I probably won't watch.

How did the packers manage to pull off a win? Mike Sherman will be lucky to keep his job after this year. Ray Rhodes got canned after one single 8-8 season with the Pack. If Sherman wins the rest of the games, he'll be 6-10. The only difference is that jesse jackson won't be writing a letter on his behalf.

COWHER POWER, Baby!

I was wondering whatever happened to American Taliban, Johnny Walker Lind. I didn't realize he was quarterbacking the Bears.

How about Tom Brady for MVP. If the Pats can make some noise with all the injuries that they have had, he deserves some mention (though like everyone else, I am sick of hearing about him).

Death to to LT and the Chargers. Their pitiful loss to the Dolphins at home knocked me out of an elimination pool. But it does help my Steelers...
